About Dorje & Bell
The Dorje and Bell are the primary ritual objects of Tibetan Buddhism. Always kept together, they represent many layers of intricate symbolism and meaning. They are used in almost all Tibetan ceremonies, chanting and magical operations. Primarily Dorje and Bell symbolizes the properties of a diamond (indestructibility) and a thunderbolt (irresistible force). Just as the diamond is hard, so the Buddha's teachings are indestructible. The power of the thunderbolt is similar to the power of the Buddha's message that has the power to cut through ignorance and lead all beings to enlightenment.
